We completely refinish this beautiful hickory floor using the UV-cured finish technology. Our client was eager to get back into their space, so we recommend this steadfast coating system that stands tall against scuffs, scratches, abrasions, and chemicals.
First, the floor was sanded and finished to NWFA specifications.
Then, we started building up the layers of sealer and finishes; first, we applied one coat of sealer and one coat of bodybuilder, let it dry to manufacture specifications, and then applied one by one two coats of top coat finish.
After these tops coats dried, we ran the UV machine across the floor. The finish cures instantly once the UV light hits the wood floor, making it as hard as it’s ever going to get.
The process not only ensures a durable finish but also significantly reduces the downtime, allowing you to use your space the same day we complete the work.
