Contrasting stained border hardwood floor installation.
One of the advantages of wood flooring, compared to other options, is the opportunity it offers homeowners to create a space that commands attention and admiration. Whether it’s the color of the flooring or adding a unique feature such as installing floor inlays, these elements add flair and design that disrupt the lateral flow of traditional wood flooring, making homeowners proud of their unique home design.
In the projects presented below, my clients added these unique features, such as a custom stain color that matched their furniture and a border inlay with a custom pattern. These additions not only added an individual touch but also infused a little more personality into the wood floor.
When I received the call from this client, she was already excited about the project, the installation of a hardwood floor in a special room of her house, the dance room. She said she already has the wood, and she needs my craftsmanship to bring her vision to life. So, she has this beautiful hickory wood and wanted to install it in a room where the love for salsa, waltz, charleston, cha-cha-cha, or disco dance will bring joy to her and her friends.
To make the room truly unique, she also wanted a hardwood border installed around the room, a touch that would set her dance room apart from any other.
